How often do you find yourself waiting for the right time to finish up a cherished project? For your schedule to clear so you can move on to doing what you love, for the external validation you have been seeking from your to do list to land, for your “motivation” to take hold so that you can feel “inspired” to get things done.
Yet what if all the supposedly important things we fill our days with are just a form of fear in disguise? An old worn out strategy we use to stay safe, small, or stuck in the known. They linger because we pack our lives with things that are uninspiring and essentially just a long list of items we have no soul relationship to doing.
This is why at times finding motivation and fully engaging with our lives can feel so unfulfilling and listless.
We are so good at putting our responsibilities first that we have forgotten how to be truly inspired!
What I love to practice in my life at all times is how and where true inspiration flows. Because it is an entirely different approach to obligation.
It’s a pulse from the soul, raw, alive, undeniable. It doesn’t push or hound. It’s crystal clear. And it always involves doing things… we love.
And when we meet our inspirations with mutual devotion, we learn how to partner with life and motivation becomes something we have in spades.
This shift changes everything.
We stop waiting for motivation to strike and start choosing to honor the inspiration that’s already stirring within us. Even if it’s inconvenient. Even if it makes no sense yet. Even if it asks us to move before we feel “ready.”
When you stop forcing life through duty and commitments and start moving from your soul-aligned inspirations, your whole world will change. Because your desires were given to you for a reason. They want you to birth them into the world!
What would your life be like if you stopped doing the things you don’t want to do and instead answered the call of your inspiration?
