Living in Your Body’s Ancient Wisdom

by | Apr 22, 2026 | Blog | 0 comments

There was a time when I lived almost entirely in my head.

My body was something I

managed,

ignored,

or tried to fix,

…not something I listened to.

We live in a world that celebrates the mind:

the intellect,

the doing,

the figuring out,

the absolute.

The body, if thought of at all,  is treated as secondary,

something that just came along for the ride.

But the more I’ve explored,

the more I’ve realized

that the opposite is true.

🔥 The body is not the passenger…

it’s the guide.

It holds a wisdom that predates the stories of our minds.

🌸 Our bodies have been evolving on this planet for over 300,000 years,

shaped by Earth’s rhythms,

attuned to her ecosystems,

designed to move with the flow of life.

When I think about this, it humbles me.

💕 The body knows how to digest,

how to breathe,

how to repair,

how to sense truth

Without the mind’s interference.

It knows how to connect with the sun,

the soil,

the stars,

the seasons.

💕  It remembers EVERYTHING.

And yet, we’ve forgotten how to be in conversation with it.

We dip into the body when something hurts or feels off, and then we retreat back to the mind

The familiar place of control.

💖 But what happens when we let the body lead?

When we allow it to show us

where to soften,

where to rest,

what to release?

A powerful practice I’ve been playing lately is Marco Polo,

… with my body.

Each morning, I sit and ask,

“What are you going to show me today?” that’s my Marco.
Then I move through my day and wait for the Polo.

The sensations,

the signs,

the whispers

that come through as a response.

Sometimes it’s tension,

sometimes it’s ease,

sometimes it’s a feeling that says,

this way.

🌸 This is how I build relationship with my body,

as a wise friend,

as an ancient teacher.

And this relationship has changed everything.

When we live inside our bodies, we find that peace,

love,

and calm

are not destinations “out there.”

They live in the cells of our being.

🔥 It’s time to return to this knowing.

To live with our bodies instead of from above them.

To let devotion, not discipline,

guide how we care for this vessel that carries us.

How Survival Instinct Blocks Gratitude…and How to Reconnect

Gratitude is often spoken about as something simple. Something we can just choose, something we can drop into at any moment. And while that can be true, there is also something deeper happening beneath it. Because in order to truly feel gratitude, we have to feel...
