Working with Spiritual Signs as a way to Deepen your Inner Knowing

Have you ever asked the universe for a sign? Maybe you’ve been in a moment of uncertainty, caught between choices, and hoping for some divine intervention to point you in the right direction. Many of us use divination tools, synchronicities, and messages from nature to guide us, but have you ever considered how many of the signs we receive are actually created by us?

A few years ago, I was grappling with a decision—feeling torn between moving forward or stepping back. I asked for a very specific sign: to see a tiger on a t-shirt. And sure enough, as I moved through my day, the tiger appeared. Not just once, but multiple times. I took this as confirmation that I was meant to say yes. But within a month, I realized that the decision I made wasn’t truly in alignment with me.

Looking back, I now see that I wasn’t just receiving a sign, I was manifesting it. I was seeking external validation instead of trusting my own inner compass.

When we get too specific about the signs we ask for, we risk shaping reality to fit what we want to see rather than allowing the Universe to naturally communicate with us. True signs often arrive unexpectedly. They carry an innate knowing, an intuitive resonance that we don’t have to overanalyze.

So the next time you find yourself seeking a sign, ask yourself: Am I open to receiving, or am I trying to control the answer? The most powerful guidance often comes not from what appears outside of you, but from the deep, quiet knowing within.

I talk about this more in depth in this episode of Magical Moments, listen here.
