Who are you beneath your beliefs?

There’s a quote I love,

💖 You can have your beliefs, just don’t believe in them.

When I first heard it, it sparked something alive inside me.

So much of my identity had been built on the beliefs of others. Who I was consisted of what I was told was true, what was expected of me and what I should be doing, and what I clung to for safety, for belonging, for structure.

As crazy as it sounds, I didn’t realize that belief itself was optional and that there was a deeper place inside me that had nothing to do with what I believed.

🌹 That realization was the beginning of something BIG.

When we start questioning our beliefs, we open the door to a whole new way of being.

It can feel disorienting at first to realize that much of who we think we are is just a tangle of nervous system responses tightly wound around old conditioning.

🌞 Yet it’s also incredibly liberating.

Because if we are not our beliefs… then who are we?

That’s the invitation.

To begin relating to life not from our conditioning, but from curiosity.
Not from assumption, but from presence.

To become aware of how we’re relating to everything, to our work, our families, our bodies, even brushing our teeth.

💖 And choose to see it all as SACRED relationship.

When we shift the way we relate, we shift everything.

So I offer you these questions…

✨ What are the beliefs you’re believing?

✨ What would change if you loosened your grip on them?

✨ Who might you be beneath those beliefs?

I go into this in the latest episode of Water Rising, if you want to dive deeper listen on Substack, Youtube, or my website.
