Boundaries are not walls, they are invitations

For many of us, boundaries can feel uncomfortable, even threatening.

We worry they’ll push people away, create distance, or stir up conflict.

But here’s another way to see them:

Boundaries are not about shutting people out.

💖 They are about showing people how to love us MORE.

When you name what you are (and are not) available for, whether that’s in conversation, relationship, work, or family, you are teaching others the conditions in which love can grow.

You are saying: this is the space where love is possible between us.

That shift is powerful.

Because then boundaries are no longer acts of rejection or punishment, but of devotion, to yourself, and to the relationship.

Sometimes, this looks easeful, two people aligned in their willingness to create more love together.

And sometimes, it looks like distance, choosing space from a relationship that can’t yet meet you in a healthy way.

Even then, if held with clarity and compassion, that distance is an act of love too.

The real invitation of boundaries is this:

✨ Get crystal clear on how you want to be loved.

✨ Get crystal clear on how you are willing to love.

✨ And then ask for it, without blame, without shame, without judgment.

It’s not always easy, but it is transformational.

Because when you show someone how to love you, you’re not only honoring yourself, you’re giving them a chance to step into deeper love with you too.

I share more about this practice, including some personal stories from my own life. Listen to the teaching here
