The healing we do for ourselves ripples through generations!

There are moments in life when we are asked to return to the places that shaped us.

Not to stay, but to bring closure.

To leave behind what no longer belongs in our story.

Recently, I traveled back to the town where I grew up in England,

a place layered with both memory and pain,

the house that held both my childhood and my parents’ struggles.

I hadn’t set foot there in decades, but this time was different.

I was there with a different energy, a different purpose.

I wasn’t going back as the heartbroken girl who left, but as the woman who has walked years of healing.

I went on this trip with my mom, my kids

and a stone from my medicine bundle,

one that had been calling to be returned.

Standing before the house I grew up in,

I placed the stone,

we spoke our prayers,

and something shifted.

A cycle closed.

A weight lifted.

This is what ancestral healing feels like.

It is not abstract,

it is embodied,

lived,

and witnessed.

When we answer the call,

when we finally decide to face the old wounds

and bring them to completion,

we don’t just heal for ourselves,

We shift the story for our children,

our ancestors,

and those yet to come.

The choices we make ripple across generations.

The devotion we bring to our healing creates space for others to live differently.

And when we say yes to our pilgrimages,

whether inward or across oceans,

we open new paths for the future.

I share more about my journey and ancestral healing in this episode of the Soul Coaching Podcast
