You are the Ancestor: The story of your lineage is still being written – through you.

This time of year, when the veil softens and the nights grow long, we’re invited to pause

To listen more deeply.

The air feels thinner, the unseen closer.

Across cultures and traditions, this is the season of remembering and honoring those who came before us.

🌙 Our ancestors, both of blood and of spirit.

But for many of us, ancestry isn’t simple.

💌 It carries both love and pain, gifts and wounding.

We’re the living meeting point of generations of stories, choices, traumas, and triumphs.

Some of those stories have made us strong;

Others have left imprints we’re still learning how to soften.

It can feel like a heavy inheritance

❤️‍🔥 But it’s also sacred.

Because you chose to be here now.

In this moment of great turning, to help shift the old patterns that are ready to be released.

You came to gather the wisdom, the beauty, the songs and skills your ancestors carried…

and to transform what no longer belongs in your lineage.

Healing the ancestral line is about remembering that everything — every being,

 every stone,

tree, and gust of wind —

is part of your ancestry.

The Earth herself is your ancestor.

 Her bones built your bones.

Her rivers flow through your blood.

Every breath you take is the continuation of something ancient.

And just as you are the child of all that came before, you are also the ancestor of everything yet to come.

The choices you make today ripple forward into the future.

The way you live, love, and tend to the Earth shapes what your grandchildren’s grandchildren will inherit.

Take a moment this week to honor that truth.

Light a candle.

Leave a cup of tea on your altar.

Whisper gratitude to those who paved your way —

and ask how you might walk with more awareness for those who will follow.
