I first encountered Paolo Coelho’s “The Alchemist” at 26, a pivotal moment in my life. I had just quit my job, stored my belongings, and embarked on an adventure from South Florida to Costa Rica with a near-stranger. My friends thought I was crazy, warning me of dangers. But deep down, I knew I had to go. Nothing could stop me.

Recently, I revisited “The Alchemist.” With years of life experience behind me, I found new depths in the story. What struck me most was realizing how consistently my heart has guided me towards my destiny. While I didn’t physically die on that heart-led adventure years ago, the person I used to be did. She died in devotion to the woman I am today, to my dreams, and to the life intended for me. This transformation was necessary to claim my true path.
