Creating Inner Magic During the Holiday Season

With the busy rush of the holiday season, it can be easy to get caught up in the linear narrative about time. Is there enough of it, are we wasting it, is it running out? The never-ending voice in our head that pushes us to do more and get it done ON TIME!

Of course, we need what I like to call ‘clock time’ to get to work on time, meet up with friends, make important meetings, etc. Yet if we only live with this idea of time, we miss out on so much of the magic that is available to us in this world.

So, I strive to live more of my life in ‘magical time’. This is where everything and anything is possible because we exist outside the confines of clock time. Things happen differently in magical time, as they don’t have to follow the rules of our planet.

I’ll share an example….

We were getting ready for school and as usual, we were running late. I calculated that today we would only be 2 minutes late. Hurray! As we were about to get in the car my daughter had a meltdown. At that moment I had a choice. I could rush her and get upset and get her in the car so we would hopefully be on time, OR I could sit on the floor with her and hold her and rock her and help her know she was ok. I chose the 2nd option. After what seemed like a long time, we got up laughing and got in the car and drove to school where we arrived… 2 minutes early!

This is what happens when we choose to BE present, to BE loving, and BE willing to step outside linear time, we end up falling into magical time, where miracles can happen.

My love, how can you play more in ‘magical time’ in your life?
